Haslemere Fringe Festival, 5th July

Haslemere Fringe

"Be sure to wear flowers in your hair,if you're going to Haslemere Fringe Fest, Summertime will be a love-in there"... I think that's how the song goes...

Hi! The festival season is really kicking in now and we are being blessed with the sun, so let's make the most of it! :) We're excited to announce our next summer show at the 'HASLEMERE FRINGE FESTIVAL' on the 5th July.

For those of you who are local to us, it's only an hour from Brighton or an hour from London... And for those of you not so close... come anyway! There's a great line up including good friends of ours 'House Of Hats', and 'Jazz Morley' and many many more.

Check out the poster for the line up and all other details you will find on their easy-to-navigate, comprehensive website: http://www.lionfest.co.uk/

Hope you can make it.

Love as always.

March 22nd Announcements[1] copy 2

Howdy! Hope you’re all keeping well! We’ve got some very exciting news… We’ll be playing at quite a few festivals this summer which we will be announcing soon… HOWEVER, we’ve just been told that we will be HEADLINING LAINFEST on the 22nd of June! We’ve never headlined a festival before so we are very excited to be playing at this amazing festival in its 5th year.

We’re planning on staying for the whole weekend to enjoy the full experience so we invite you to join us! (As a bonus, I’m pretty sure Rob will be out at night with his acoustic, he loves a campfire singalong!)

For more info, go check out their website at www.Lainfest.co.uk. The festival is based somewhere between Birmingham and Nuneaton… ‘Gopsall Hall Farm’ to be exact!

See you soon!

Mad love!

Chris Evans' Breakfast Show - BBC Radio 2!!!

We woke up to mega excitement today as our new buddy Sir Chris Evans came good on his promise he'd made to us and 30 thousand witnesses on stage at CarFest North to play our song on his BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show… He says some nice things about us too so we thought we'd share it with you!

What a weekend!

SLIDE THROUGH THE PICS ABOVE :) Is it Tuesday already?!... forgive us musicians, we rarely get that 'Monday' feeling ;)

So the weekend had us playing at Lodestar Festival, Cambridge, where we caught up with our BBC Radio Cambridge soul-sister Sue Marchant, and played to one of the smiliest crowds we've seen all summer! Maybe because they'd all seen us on the bumper cars earlier... and the big inflatable slide... and the 'beat the goalie' corner... it's good to release your inner child now and again!

After one of the best 'All you can eat'-s I've personally had, we hit the hay for an early get up and go for the Big Feastival the next day. Turns out Alex James' house comes with loads of parking!

We filled our day and bellies with tasters, free scotch, foodie things, coconut water and alcoholic cloudy lemonade and slapped out probably our last festival set of the year :( But it ended well as we were invited back to an after party with our mates The Feeling, (our mate who stars in a film we have music on) Jason Flemyng, Mark Owen from 'Took This' and he's big, he's Red (used to be... now red and white) his feet stick out the bed, Peter Crouch, Peter Crouch! I can't remember the last time us lot were together in the same place!

Roll on next year... Bigger... Better... BRING IT!!

Carfest South!

So that was probably the best gig to date then?! Beating the response we had from Carfest north was no easy task... but somehow, it happened?!

Screen Shot 2013-08-27 at 12.33.42

We got a quick pic with Pink Floyd legend Nick Mason! Turns out he heard our set at Carfest North, and South, likes what he hears! I believe Amaze-balls is the correct term?

We even had a little surprise in our set and ended it with our friend Emma Hughes come out and sing one of her favourite songs with us, it was her 2nd gig! Glad to be part of a great memory!

Remember we played at Kendal Calling? Yeah, Well remember we said Seasick Steve saw us play and gave us a shout out? Yeah, well we got to have a good old chat with him this time around. He popped his head into our trailer and with no accent barriers to break down, between us all we all talked about how we got here... Us in Blossom... Steve in a helicopter sent by Chris Evans 26 minutes after Steve got home. Yeah, he wins! Here's a pic of him from the bee-hind!

We bumped into the chaps from Keane before they did their thing on stage, nice guys! But to top it all off, Chris Evans invited us all back to the Glamp Site and we jammed a few songs with Seasick Steve around the camp fire with marshmallows and enough moonshine for everyone! I WEAR MY SOCKS UP TO MY KNEES.

What. A. Night.

Radio 2… Chris Evans… CARFEST!!!

We're very excited to announce that we have just been added to the line-up for Chris Evans' (BBC Radio 2) 'CARFEST'! We'll be at both the North (Sat August the 3rd) AND South (Saturday August the 25th) sites… and we're very much looking forward to them!  You can find out about both the festivals HERE …  But let's just say there are some pretty legendary acts playing as well! (Ocean Colour Scene, Jools Holland, The Feeling, Reef…)
